Self love is so important! This is something I struggle with on a daily basis and have to constantly remind myself to be kind and gentle to me. For example, as a business owner I get overwhelmed with my to-do lists, my website, my social media and balancing it all with family time so its natural that my me-time sometimes takes a back seat.
All of this combined with this invisible pressure (because seriously, no one is holding a gun to my head!!) to make an amazing dinner every night. Hey, did you know that it IS okay to "just" eat pasta once in a while. And my precious me time?? Well, its certainly a struggle to make it happen. When it does happen though, the benefits are amazing. I aim to get to yoga three times a week. Sometimes its just two times, sometimes its a meager one time..but when it happens, I feel energized and refreshed. Same as when I get to see my wonderful girlfriends. I love catching up with them over dinner and a glass of wine. For days following our dinner date I get in a great mood just thinking about the fun time I had. These are just some of the things I need to do to feel good about myself! Yes, they take effort but when I feel good about myself, I become a better partner and a better mom. Really its a win-win.
