The Modern Mommy Events mission is to give moms, dads, and caregivers a space to recharge by spending time with other parents in a fun, casual environment that focuses on meaningful social connections, learning opportunities and support through programming.
The face behind the fun!
Eva originally started Modern Mommy Events with fellow new mom Jessie Storm. They were in need of space and time to connect, have fun, support and recharge together. Their desire to share this space with others brought more moms together.
Just a few months after the launch, and having connected with over 300 moms, Modern Mommy events includes the other half of the parenting world: dads. We provide opportunities for moms and dads to let loose without the kids and meet like-minded people. As parents to a two and half year old, Eva and her husband know the important positive impact that ‘me time’ has on the whole family.
Anja Muecher, Volunteer Marketing Director
Hi, my name is Anja and I am 38 years old. After graduating from university in Germany, I worked as a Human Resources Manager for an American company. I am now married to my wonderful husband Dennis and we moved to Guelph in November 2015 from Munich. Germany. Now I am a mom to two little ones!
I fell in love with Guelph and its supportive community. It is a truly amazing city with great people.
I met Eva in 2016 at one of her events and discovered it was exactly what I needed. Being new to a country and city, I just wanted to connect with other moms who share the same routine, joys, and struggles that we all do!
I am so happy to be a part of the Modern Mommy Events team! Eva and I share the same passion for creating fun events, and creating a space to help parents to recharge their batteries.
My role is to spread the word about our mission within the parent community and also to create community partnerships. I am looking forward to meeting you at one of our next events.

It’s about you…
Our program focuses on providing you, as a parent, friendship, space for personal rejuvenation, new ideas from other parents, enabling you to return to your family feeling empowered and recharged.
It’s about community…
Opening our doors also means giving back to our town which is why a portion of our proceeds for some events goes toward local non-profit organizations.
